I firmly believe the formal educational system needs a "Reboot" in what is considered a "Successful and meaningful" education. How does the formal educational system prepare me to live my Life and deal with the various challenges that I face? If the formal educational system better prepared individuals to deal with the personal challenges that many face day-to-day, then individuals could actually make valuable contributions to "Society". But I guess that would make too much sense right? Tell me this, how likely is someone to make a contribution to "Society" when an individual is going through a "Rough time/period" in his or her life?

I think that there should be less promotion of school sports. Although they offer opportunity for students, when it gets to the point where a student is focusing more on athletics than academics, that's a problem.

I think that one of the most important thing that each child should know is how to read. Each child should be introduced to the arts and different cultures. Sports should not be the only thing that is promoted in school. I think the focus should be on making each child well rounded and prepared for the real world. Affording each child an opportunity to be whatever they want to be; therefore be able to contributing something to society.

All of these choices of "solutions" to education are drops in the bucket. The school system needs to be entirely revamped. Too much bureaucracy; too many students who are seat-fillers.

Why are almost all of these polls about nutritious lunches? Recently, America has fallen in the rankings for education compared to other countries each year. With that said, I think there are some other pressing issues at stake...
